A member of the larger sand or desert truffle family, the Hungarian White Honey Truffle has enjoyed an incredible 'career' in top restaurants from London to New York in recent years. On the one hand, this is due to the exceptionally soft texture and, on the other hand, to the ten different types of sugar that give the honey truffle its sweet taste. This truffle is only found in Hungary, where it grows on sand in acacia forests and is made available to us by the Trufo company in unique quality as wild growth. Trufo collects and processes these treasures with particular care, so that we can use a raw material for our honey truffle liqueur that is not processed.
We only use freeze-dried truffles for our truffle products, made from 100% fresh honey truffles. Of course, we do not add any flavor enhancers or aromas. Also, we don't add honey to our EGG Truffle Cream; it is prepared with organic alcohol and also macerated with the honey truffle. This is how the fine truffle taste develops on the palate.
