Osetra caviar is one of the most prized and expensive types of caviar. It is obtained from the Ossetra sturgeon which weighs 50-400 pounds and can live up to 50 years. Osetra caviar varies in color from deep brown to gold, where the lighter varieties are more sought after, as they have the richest flavor and come from the oldest sturgeons.
Freshness is very important to us. In order to offer you the greatest possible freshness, we only fill the caviar for you upon receipt of your order. All of our sturgeon caviar varieties can be stored unopened in the refrigerator at 4 ° C for at least 8 weeks. After opening the caviar jar, it can be enjoyed for approx. 1-2 days with the lid firmly pressed. Please note the sticker with the current use-by date on your can.
In order to guarantee you the greatest possible caviar enjoyment, we reduce preservatives such as salt to the necessary minimum (2-3%) during processing.
